Yes, of course! We will always accept your device by itself. However, just as a friendly reminder, the more accessories you send in along with your device, the more money we will be able to send to you! Does Buy Back World sell my personal information?

Buy Back World will never sell, share or give out your personal information with other individuals, companies, or third parties without your express consent. Every device that comes in is immediately wiped clean of all personal and confidential information. Is there a limit on the number of items I can sell to Buy Back World?

No, never! It’s a simple process; the more you sell, the more you get paid. Remember the more you go green, the more you get green. In fact, Buy Back World is currently (and always) working on encouraging you to sell more items to us. We update our Buy Back World catalogue daily and even entertain personal offers – Have an item you don’t see listed? Contact us at (BuyMyItem@buybackworld.com) and we’ll send you a personal offer! My items not listed – Can I still get paid to send it in?

Buy Back World is constantly trying to stay on top of our list of items. Our goal one day is to be able to make an offer for every item you no longer have use for. We update our catalogue of items daily, but if you still can’t find your item, send us a request at (BuyMyItem@buybackworld.com) and we’ll give you a personal offer within 24 hours. It doesn’t get any better than that, does it?!

How does Buy Back World determine the value of my item?

We use industry leading technology to gather real time market data and give you the most accurate, up to date price to make sure you get paid the true value of your item.

What happens if Buy Back World disagrees with the condition I select for my item?

If Buy Back World disagrees with your selected item condition, we will email you with a counter offer within 24 hours of your item being received. You can either choose to accept or decline the counter offer. If you do not respond to the counter offer within 72 hours, we will send our counter offer to you one more time. If we still don’t hear back from you 24 hours after the second notice, we will process your item for payment at our suggested price and send you a check in the mail!

How does Buy Back World pay me?

Buy Back World will send you payment via PayPal or by a check in the mail. Of course, it’s always your choice of how you want to get paid!

How long does it take for me to get paid?

Most important question on the list! Delivery time with the United States Postal Service is out of our control, but usually takes 3-4 business days. Once we receive an item, we inspect it, wipe the memory clean of all your confidential data, and prepare it for processing. We will always update you as to your item’s progress. We notify you once we’ve inspected your item and payment is on the way. Please allow a few days for payment to arrive after you receive the confirmation email. We typically say allow for 10 business days from sending us your item to getting paid

Does Buy Back World accept items from outside of the United States?

Yes. However, free shipping is currently only for within the continental United States. You should contact a local shipping provider to determine the best way to send your products to us.

What does Buy Back World do with my items?

Buy Back World believes that every item should have a chance to be reused – whether it is resold on the open market, sent to developing countries or used by wholesalers for parts. We allocate your items to the best second home at the time.

Where can I drop off my item?

After you’ve printed out your prepaid United States Postal Service shipping label, simply attach it to your box and drop it off at any USPS location nationwide. Click here to find the location nearest to you. (USPS Store Locater)

What’s the best way to package my item?

You should be very careful when you package your item to make sure it is not damaged during transit. If you still have your device’s original packaging, sending it this way is a fantastic way to send it. If you do not have the original packaging, make sure that you cushion your item well. You can use things such as old newspapers, bubble wrap, or other packaging material to cushion your item. If you need help, go to your local shipping store and they can certainly help you out. Buy Back World is not responsible for shipping damage that may occur during transit.

How do I attach my prepaid shipping label?

This is the easy part - You can attach the label to the package with clear tape. All you have to do is make sure that the shipping address, bar codes, and other information on the label are visible through the tape! Remember, we want your item to get to us safe and sound so we can pay you quickly!

Does Buy Back World offer any other shipping methods besides the USPS?

Right now we only offer FREE shipping within the continental United States through our partnership with the USPS. We are currently working to partner up with other couriers, but until then you are welcome to use any other shipping carrier at your own expense. Just remember, Buy Back World does not pay for shipments sent within the continental United States by any other shipping company.

How does the Buy Back World referral program work?

Buy Back World wants you to tell all your friends and family about our site. We’re willing to reward our customers who encourage their friends to use Buy Back World too. For every new friend you refer to our site that sells over $100 of items back to us, you receive $10. The process is simple, just tell your friends to use our site, they put in your userID in the referral space provided at check out and bam! You just earned $10. Who says talk is cheap?

Is there a limit to the number of people I can invite?

No, of course not! We want you to tell all your friends and family about BuyBackWorld.com. In order to qualify for the $10 Buy Back World reward make sure your friends enter your UserID at check out in the “referral space” provided. Also, don’t forget, in order to qualify, your friends must sell back at least $100 worth of items and be NEW users. You can only get paid ONCE off of each new friend.

The item I want to sell back is broken, will you still pay me for it?

We do buy back most items that are broken and in poor condition. However, these will get a significantly lower price quote than items in good and working condition. Please accurately describe the condition of your item when obtaining your quote.

I have a business or organization that has a large quantity of used electronics, will you take these in bulk?

How am I helping the environment by selling back my used items to Buy Back World?

You are helping the environment in many ways! We help keep your used electronics out of landfills. We will also recycle gadgets you send to us that have no value. We are committed to helping you GO GREEN and GET GREEN.

What if I don’t receive my confirmation email with the free shipping label once I complete checkout?

Please make sure that your spam filter is not blocking our e-mails. If you are logged in, please go to, "My Account" and click "resend shipping kit" to have your shipping label resent. Please contact us if you have any trouble retrieving your label or confirmation.

What if I forgot my account ID and password?

Please select the “Forgot your password?” link under the Log In tab in the upper right hand corner of the site. This will help you retrieve your password. Please contact us if you have any issues.

Does using Buy Back World cost me anything?

NO! Never. Unless of course, you count opportunity cost, as in the lost opportunities to turn ALL your used gadgets into crisp, green, money. C'mon, what are you waiting for?! - They're probably collecting dust as you're reading this. You'll be surprised to see how much all your unwanted gadgets are worth

What if I don't receive an email confirming my registration for activation?

This could be due to several reasons. The first thing to do is check your Spam filter. Lots of times your registration email will be caught in there. Please update your Spam filter settings so that you may receive all future emails from Buy Back World as we will email you to keep you informed of your item's progress. If the email isn’t there, please go to the Log In tab in the upper right hand corner of the site and click the "Missing your activation link? Click here to resend it"

Can I track my item once I send it in?

Yes, of course. Just go to the top right hand corner of your screen and click, "Log In." Once you are signed in then you can click the, "Edit Account" tab and you will be able to see everything that you have sold and the status of each item.

What if I can't find my item?

If your item is not listed then please contact us from the link on our homepage for a personal, custom quote. Remember to constantly check our site as we update our catalogue daily.
