Apple has confirmed that the new iPad will be available at 8am in stores this Friday. If you weren’t lucky enough to have your online reservation pushed back to March 19th, you can always wander down to your local Apple store and pick one up in person. The third generation model of the category defining device will be available at all Apple retail stores, as well as approved Apple retailers such as Best Buy and Target.

If you’re in the NYC area, take a trip down to the 5th Avenue store. We’ll be there bright and early Friday morning cheering on all the loyal Apple fans. Wondering who has the #1 spot? It’s none other than the famous “pro line sitter” Greg Packer. Oh yea, did we mention that BuyBackWorld is sponsoring him to do what he does best and be first in line for big media events? Greg is picking himself up a brand new iPad 3rd Generation in black 16GB model connecting to Verizon’s 4G networks. Look out for him in bright blue and green t-shirts and ask him what he’s up to!

Being from New York, it was a natural fit for us to work together with Greg in the most anticipated Apple iPad release to date. Greg has been in front of the Apple store since Monday morning, a full 120 hours before the iPad comes out. Lucky for him, the weather’s been beautiful so we’re sure he’s having a great time.
