Corning Incorporated is set to release Gorilla Glass 2 by May of this year. Described by them as, “visually stunning, lightweight, and highly damage-resistant” Gorilla Glass 2 is set to change the way smartphones and tablets are made. What does this mean for us? Slimmer and sleeker devices, brighter images and improved touch sensitivity.

Gorilla Glass 2 is 20% thinner than the original and features improved performance and strength. Corning Gorilla Glass is currently used by more than 30 major brands in more than 600 product models, spanning over 600 million units worldwide.
